On April 10th, 2009, In Search of Sanuk joined the Asian Injury Prevention Foundation launched it’s “Head Safe = Helmet On” Campaign in Bangkok.

This is especially important ahead of the Song Kran holiday. Every year during this period thousands of accidents result in hundreds of deaths around the country. Thus, ISOS was glad to join the rally for this cause. Praew from season 2 of Academy Fantasia was there to get things started and spoke about her experiences with motor accidents outside the city.

The most touching part of the evening was hearing from Mrs. Wipapan Herman, who lost her oldest daughter to a motorbike accident. Had her daughter been wearing a helmet, her life would have been saved. She very openly shared the story of her family’s grief, believing that by telling her story she could save the lives of many more.

Simply Put: Wear a helmet and make your loved ones do the same.

Next, we heard from Michelle Yeoh, the Chinese-Malaysian actress most famous for her role in Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon. She’s shared about the importance of the cause and about how proud she was to be selected as an ambassador for this cause.
