I will be traveling to Bangkok next week (Aug 9-15) and I am looking for an opportunity to volunteer for a day during my trip. I am open to helping in any way needed, but I am especially moved by this story and would like to find out if it is possible for me to visit the Center. Who should I contact to make arrangements?

I agree – what a great post. Visiting the prisons of Thailand is something I plan to do (eventually). I couldn’t imagine being so helpless as well as so very far away from home. So good on you for reaching out as you do.

I am blown away by this piece. You painted a picture so real I felt as though I was there, with increasing heart rate to match. I could feel your sadness and a strong sense of powerlessness as well as the appreciation that you were doing what you could. Astounding that countries sanction this kind of thing. It is a wake up call for everyone in America and the world.

Thank you for a window into that world.
